If you’re a busy mom like me, chances are you love treats that are super easy to make. Not only is this peppermint cookie ball recipe easy to make, it’s simple enough to get the kids involved.
The will love being able to crush the cookies and candy canes, and just think of how proud they will be to have helped with such a delicious treat.
Since I’m a huge fan of only turning the oven on when necessary, I thought I would make these delicious peppermint Oreo cookie balls for you.
I know cookie ball recipes are pretty standard in most homes these days, so I decided on giving this easy no-bake recipe a little twist.
And do you know what? I’m really glad I did. There are already so many treats that are made with regular milk chocolate. I thought the peppermint Oreo cookie balls would be perfect covered with white chocolate, and I was right. Plus, now I’ve got something for my daughter-in-law to enjoy.
She’s not a fan of traditional chocolate desserts, so sometimes it can be a challenge to find treats for her. Do you know someone like that?

Candy canes and dipping chocolate turn these classic Oreo cookie balls into a peppermint lovers dream!

Yields 48
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup finely chopped candy canes (about 6 small), divided
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 36 Golden OREO Cookies, finely crushed
- 16 ounces white melting chocolate
Instructions
- Reserve 1 Tbsp. chopped candy
- Mix remaining candy with cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended
- Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls
- Freeze 10 min
- Meanwhile, melt white chocolate according to package directions { usually in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between}
- Dip a cookie ball in melted chocolate and immediately sprinkle with reserved crushed candy cane; repeat with remaining cookie balls
- Place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm
- Serve
