Today isn’t just any Friday. It’s the last Friday of the school year. Wow, it seems to have gone by so quickly, and yet at the same time, it feels like this school year has lasted an eternity.
We just have Corrie (she’s finishing up her Junior year in high school) and Mark Jr, who is going into the 7th grade next year.
Yikes! Should this make me feel old? Um, never mind, let’s not get on the subject of my age, it’s a pretty sensitive topic right now.
This Triple Berry Vodka Spritzer is light and refreshing- perfect for cooling off!
Let’s talk about summer. I know the kids are doing their best to finish the year strong, but I can tell they are really wanting summer to get here, like now.
They are over waking up early, spending hours in the classroom and doing homework. And do you know what? The kids aren’t the only ones who are ready for summer. I am, too.
This mama is ready to sleep in and not have to worry about making lunches, getting kids to school on time or fighting over homework.
Lately, I’ve been daydreaming about sitting outside under our new patio cover, sipping sweet little gems like this bubbly vodka cocktail. And I’m so close, so very, very close!
Summer also means delicious fruity drinks and cocktails, like this Triple Berry Vodka Spritzer.
Tools For Making My Tripe Berry Vodka Spritzer:
- Cocktail Shaker – I always use a cocktail shaker when mixing drinks. It ensures that I get an even amount of liquor vs. mixer in every sip
- Muddler – A muddler is a must for smashing up the berries. This OXO steel muddler is my favorite. It’s got a soft, comfortable grip and is dishwasher safe. It’s the only one I use
- Jigger – I don’t always use a jigger for measuring, but it comes in handy if you’re trying out new recipes or want to get the measurements just right
