When I think of chilly evenings, I think of drinks that warm my insides. Spiked cider is just that kind of drink. Many years ago, when we lived in Pennsylvania, it would get pretty cold during the winter. Hot cocoa or coffee was always a must, no matter how bundled up we were.
We live in a much warmer climate now, but there can still be a chill in the air {let’s face it, this Southern California born and raised girl still isn’t used to chilly weather, even several states and 20+ years later}, so this spiked cider really hits the spot.
Mark and I love to sit outside by the fire pit. I can just imagine how wonderful it would be sipping this spiked cider while watching the flames happily dance around. So warm and inviting, how can you pass that up?
Make up a batch {or just a mug or two} for yourself and the kids can have hot cocoa. It’s a great way to enjoy a chilly night by the fire.
