It has been six weeks since I had my first spider vein treatment, which you can read about in the previous posts in the series, Spider Vein Series Part 1 and Spider Vein Series Part 2.
Basically, you receive chemical injections into the small blue and red ‘branching’ veins, which, over time, cause the veins to collapse. My second treatment seemed to go more smoothly than the first.
For my first treatment a saline solution was used. It hurt like hell stung a little. I had some bruising for a few days, which is totally normal. Here is what the large cluster looked like six weeks after my first treatment (taken just before the second treatment. It’s a crappy photo, I know, but that’s what you get when you use your crappy phone and take it yourself!).
As a refresher, here’s what my leg looked like two weeks after the first treatment.
