Four weeks ago I had my spider veins treated. The process is called Sclerotherapy. You can also opt for laser treatment. I talk more about the process in Part 1 of the series. You can also see the photos of immediately after the treatment and at one week.
When I look at the earlier photos and compare to today’s photo, I have to say that I am very pleased with the results so far. I know I still have a ways to go, but the patches started off pretty dense, so I’m not complaining.
I have not worn the compression stockings since the first week (way too hot), but there have been a few times when I wish I would have worn the ace bandages she gave me.
Like when I spent 7 hours with my daughter Carolyn registering her for her Senior year in high school two weeks ago.
Or when I went grocery shopping with my daughter-in-law last week.
Or the other day when I cleaned my house for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday.
I mean, standing for long periods of time is partly what caused these things. (You’d think I’d have learned…)
I have another treatment scheduled for two weeks from now. I am excited to see how this one goes!
Be sure to check back and view the before/after pics from that day as well as the pics I will be taking in the weeks following.
