Rice Krispies Graveyard Treats are quick and easy to make, perfect for creating with your favorite little ghouls! No baking or cooking, just pure fun!
When it comes to no-fuss, I’m the queen. At least I’d like to think I am. I rarely bother with complicated recipes that take hours to prepare.
When I need a quick and easy treat thats fun, I love using pre-made ingredients.
These Rice Krispies graveyard treats are a perfect example. All you need is a few inexpensive ingredients.
Plus, get the kids involved and you’re on your way to making fun memories.
First, you’ll need to cut off a small portion of the bottom of each of the mini cookies.
This will help them stay standing up on the treat.
Next, use writing gel to write the letters RIP on each of the cookies. You can also use white melting chocolate if you happen to have any on hand.
Set them aside while you continue.
Open up all of the treats and generously frost them. This is where the kids can have fun helping.
Once you have all of the treats frosted, put the coconut flakes in a resealable bag with some green food coloring.
Seal the bag and knead until the coconut is a shade of green that you like.
Also, this is another fun and easy task for the kids!
Now you are ready to add the “grass” to the graves. Sprinkle each grave with green coconut.
I didn’t use any particular amount, just whatever I thought looked good.
After you have added grass to all of your treats, add the headstones. You may want to do this yourself, as the writing gel doesn’t completely set up.
The treats are now ready to enjoy.
