Hate the sticky feel of garlic on your hands? Peel garlic the easy way!
Using garlic is one of my favorite ways to add incredible flavor and taste to any savory dish. What I don’t like, is the sticky feeling it leaves on my fingers when I peel it.
Today I’m going to show you a quick and easy way to peel garlic without all the sticky residue.
You only need a couple of things that you should already have in your kitchen:
- a cutting board
- a chef’s knife
Simply break off a bulb of garlic and place on cutting board. Next, holding your knife by the handle, place the blade on top of the bulb. With your free hand, carefully press on the knife blade to gently crush the garlic.
Not only does this crush the garlic, the skin will also be partially separated from it. Simply peel it the rest of the way off.
Repeat with as many bulbs as needed, and you’re ready to make your recipe! I have found that this is a much easier way to peel garlic than using a fancy, over-priced tool that is a pain to clean.
