Perfect for hostess gifts or your office cookie exchange, these pecan dreams are easy to make and delicious to eat!
Hi! I’m Stacey and I blog over at Treats 4 Ta-tas, where I am always baking up something delicious for you and donating the proceeds towards finding a cure for breast cancer! You can read more here.
For as long as I can remember, we’ve baked gazillions of cookies over the holidays. I grew up just outside of Chicago and I can remember taking the train to my Great Aunt’s house in the city to make Norwegian cookies called ‘Sand Kakke”. We’d also make toffee, shortbread and my favorite, Buckeyes – chocolate and peanut butter are the perfect pair.
Through the years I’ve continued baking for friends and family and have managed to focus my skills on baking custom decorated sugar cookies. Instead of just baking them during the holidays though, I make them all year long. So, occasionally it’s nice to pull out some of the recipes I grew up making and bake them with my family.
We call the cookies ‘Pecan Dreams‘, but, they’ve been called lots of different names – snowball cookies or divine clusters. They are so simple and easy to make and it’s a fun way to get the kids involved. My daughter loves to toss the cookies in the bag of powdered sugar. You can package them in a plastic bag with a holiday ribbon and they make a great gift.
