I’m Liz and I blog over at Liz on Call. There I share easy crafts (even for kids), yummy recipes, fun printables and more! I’m so excited to be here at I Love my Disorganized Life today! I met Rachel at my very first blogger conference, Blended which was held in September. We sat together at lunch and had so much fun! I was so thrilled that Rachel asked me to guest post and decided to share this fun, easy and inexpensive, I love inexpensive, craft. These mini picture frame ornaments are so easy to put together and look so cute on the tree. Especially a mini tree!
They start with these colorful mini picture frames that I found in the dollar bins at Michaels. I removed all the inside stuff and cut the back of the frame off. Like the one on the left.
Maybe you love the bright colors, but they didn’t really go with my tree, so I spray painted them with some Heirloom White spray paint that I already had.
I found a tube of these mini colorful Christmas balls in the dollar spot at Target. I liked these matte finish ones.
While I waited for my spray painted frames to dry, I tied some gold twine onto the Christmas balls.
I turned my dried frames face down and set the Christmas ball ornaments inside the opening where I wanted them to hang. I added some hot glue to the back of the frame and laid the twine down on top of it and looped it back around and glued the end of the twine with the same glob of hot glue. Make sure your loop is the right size for hanging your ornament on your tree. Not too long, not too short. It’s an eyeball it kind of thing.
Once the hot glue is dry, they are ready to hang!
Don’t they look great all hanging on the tree?!?!
They would also be cute tied to a package.
Thanks again Rachel for having me today. I’d love for you to come and visit me over at Liz on Call!
Happy Crafting!
