Are you a lover of all things mermaid? Last week, I collaborated with two of my dear friends, Laura of Pink Cake Plate and Liz of Liz on Call, to create a fun Mini Mermaid DIY party.
You don’t need much to create this mini mermaid party. We started with a cake, and worked around that.
We added mermaid punch with seahorse sippers, mermaid puppy chow in mermaid DIY treat boxes , and some adorable clamshell cookies.

Let’s make Mermaid DIY Sprinkles!
I loved how the sprinkles turned out. So many pretty colors and fun shapes.
I started with some basics, white sugar pearls, blue jumbo nonpareils
, mini purple nonpareils and mini stars in white, purple and blue.
Next, I added purple jimmies, Wilton Gold Sugar Pearls
and these fun Wilton Diamond Shaped Sprinkles
.
You can go as crazy as you like with sprinkle shapes and sizes, just be sure to stick to the right colors. You only want to use shades of purple, blue, white and gold.
Add as much of each sprinkle variety as you like.
Mix them up after each addition to see what it looks like.
When you’re happy with the results, go ahead and spoon them into a container with a lid. Yay for Ikea! That’s where I got these small glass jars with lids. Love them!
Store them until you’re ready to use them. They last for what seems like forever.
Laura added them to her mermaid cake. They were the perfect touch, exactly what her cake needed.
I love putting sprinkles on cupcakes, and I can’t think of a better way to do it than with this Sprinkle Wand from the Sweet Tooth Fairy.
It’s got three sizes for sprinkling, leaving you free to dust, powder and sprinkle away!
Mermaid DIY sprinkles turned my boring cupcakes into something fun that my granddaughters couldn’t get enough of.
