My favorite feature? That would be a tie between the Descale button and the Brew/Drain Selector. Since I have terribly hard water, the Descale button comes in pretty handy. I like knowing right when it’s time to clean things out. Makes for optimum performance.
Going out of town for a while? To get out of the heat this summer, perhaps? {I know I will be} Simply switch the Brew/Drain Selector button to drain, push the Drain button, and the water is magically emptied out of the tank. I know, right? {where’s that ‘Easy’ button?}
Now, I’d like to say that everything was perfect, but I’d be lying if I did. It’s actually a good thing. Let me explain. When my Keurig arrived, I set it up no problem. I immediately made cups of coffee for the hubs, my MIL and myself. Wonderful. Got up the next morning to do the same thing. Not so wonderful. It wouldn’t work. Panic. I tried everything. I even used the Drain switch to empty the water and went through the prime process again. Nothing. I know, you’re thinking ‘What could possibly be good about any of that?’
Well, let me tell you. I knew it was just a fluke, and that I just happened to be the lucky person to get the defective system. When I went to the store to exchange it for a new one, they couldn’t have been more helpful. {This is where I give a shout-out to Julie at Staples Store #1482} Julie made one little phone call {which totally only took like 2 min} just to make sure she processed my exchange properly. After a short time, I walked out of the store with a new system. I couldn’t have been happier with the customer service! In fact, I’ll be heading back very soon for more of those delicious K-Cups!
Another great thing about my new Keurig is that whenever I want to make my Easy Chocolate Mousse, all I have to do is brew a cup, use what I need, and leisurely sip the rest while I wait for it to chill.
Oh, and I’m happy to report that it’s working fine and I have had absolutely no issues with it!
