Mark and I have lived in this same house for the last 10 years. In that time, we’ve painted walls, remodeled the kitchen, replaced the flooring, built a pool, done landscaping and put flagstone and grass in the backyard.
Come summer, we get a lot of use from our yard. When it’s hot out, we enjoy nothing more than basking in the sun and taking a dip in the pool.
However, the one thing we haven’t built, and what we actually need the most, is a cover over our patio.
The temps in Southern AZ can get pretty hot. I can even recall one summer it was 110-113 degrees for 2 weeks straight. That was a killer.
We didn’t have a pool back then, but we did have AC, thank goodness!
I love fruity drinks to help cool me off, and right now I’m loving this island bay breeze. It’s a different twist on the Agua Loca I shared over at Miss Information last week.
We are currently looking into building that patio cover, but so far it’s looking a little pricey, so, we may have to find some plans and build it ourselves.
Either way, if you need me, I’ll be in my backyard enjoying an island bay breeze.
