Some foodie friends and I get together each month to bring you a fabulous recipe made with an essential oil. This month is lavender. I have always wanted to bake with lavender, but wasn’t sure how. Essential oils make it so easy, plus, lavender is my very favorite oil to use in my diffuser, because it has such a wonderfully calming effect.

Yields 8-10
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup cream
- 2/3 cup honey
- 1-2 drops lavender essential oil
Instructions
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder
- Using a pastry blender, work in butter
- Stir in cream and honey until well combined
- Add 1-2 drops lavender essential oil {be careful not to use more, as this can be an overpowering oil}
- On a floured surface, {dough will be sticky}, pat into an 8-inch square; cut into 16 triangles
- Bake at 400* on a cookie sheet until golden, about 15-20 min
