I’m not a big drinker, especially when it comes to whiskey. I much prefer a nice glass of red wine in the evening or a light beer with my hot wings. Even when I have rum, I choose the light over the dark, but every once in a great while, I’ll have something with whiskey.
My oldest daughter turned 21 about a month ago, and somehow I got co-erst into spending the evening with her and her friends, celebrating. I have to say, it was certainly a rather strange experience, since I’m quite a bit older than all of them. And, honestly? It was an even odder feeling to be out on the town with my daughter.
A few things that came to light that night:
- I learned that I could {relatively} keep up with the younger crowd. Something that I don’t plan on doing again anytime soon, yet valuable knowledge to have the next time I’m feeling old
- My daughter learned that her mom was actually fun
- I discovered a very interesting and delicious drink, errr, shot
Just two ingredients and your set. Rum Chata {imagine horchata -a Mexican rice drink with cinnamon- with the addition of rum} and a kick of Fire Ball whiskey. Pretty amazing, right? The creamy horchata flavor with a kick of cinnamon at the end. Fabulous.
Fire-Chata blends 'spicy' whiskey with a creamy rum drink. Result? A shot that will kick you in the pants!
