Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar plus 1/4 cup more for rolling cookies in
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream together the butter, sugar, molasses and egg
- Mix in the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and salt until well combined
- Chill about 1 hour
- Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar
- Place on ungreased cookies sheet 2 inches apart
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes
