Homemade fudge is easy to make and perfect for the holidays. You can add it to a Christmas cookie platter and wrap it up to give as holiday food gifts. This easy homemade fudge recipe is a favorite holiday treat.
Can I just tell you how happy I am that Halloween is over? I love the holidays and can’t wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Mostly because it gives me an excuse to bake more. I love to make cookies, candies, cakes, pies and fudge.
Especially since I have this Easy Homemade Fudge Recipe. You can mix it up a bit by adding walnuts, peanuts, hazelnuts or pecans. Or, if you really want to make it interesting, you can add candied jalapenos, like I did.
As it’s creamy texture melts over your tongue, the candied jalapeños give you a gentle burst of spice.
Oh my, so delicious, and it’s richer & creamier than the recipe on the jar of that fluffy white stuff.
I’ve already got a few other versions of this rich chocolaty goodness in mind for you, but let’s start with this one.

- Combine first four ingredients in a 2- qt sauce pan
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and shiny {this took me about 15 min, so be patient}
- Quickly stir in candied jalapenos and vanilla; pour into prepared pan
- Let set in refrigerator for one hour or until firm
- Cut into 1-inch pieces
- Makes 32
I also make a salted chocolate fudge version. Simply omit the candied jalapeños and sprinkle fudge with sea salt immediately after pouring into the pan.
