I’m helping to promote the delicious new cookbook Desserts in Jars by Shaina Olmanson (you might know her as foodformyfamily.com) from The Harvard Common Press.
Desserts in jars are fun to make and, of course, to eat, and they are especially suited for gift-giving.
The sparkling and pretty vessel and the appealing treat it holds make for a beautiful presentation. Olmanson’s clever and cute desserts are at once playful and well-crafted, appropriate for a kids’ birthday one weekend (Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes) and a grown-up gathering, the next (Neapolitan Cakes). The book includes chapters on cakes, pies, crumbles and cobblers, quick breads and frozen indulgences like Strawberry Lemonade Granitas.
As part of the book promotion, dessert lovers everywhere are being encouraged to create a Pinterest board all about Desserts in Jars {or share the link to one you’ve already created with us} and then share it across other social media channels as well.
In return, Harvard Common Press is giving one very lucky Desserts in Jars Pinterest Board owner a full registration to the IACP {International Association of Culinary Professionals} Conference in Chicago in 2014 plus a $500 stipend towards accommodations and a phone meeting with a cookbook editor to discuss your cookbook idea.
Dream come true, yes?
Well, what are you waiting for? This is it, your chance to attend an incredible conference {with $500 to spend} and a meeting that could start you on the path to a highly successful cookbook-writing career!
**Once you create your board and provide the link in the Rafflecopter widget, other options will open up so that you can earn extra entries in the giveaway.
