Call me a bad mom if you want to, but my kids never wrote letters to Santa. The honest truth is, they didn’t believe in him.
Here’s the deal, my parents never went along with the idea of Santa being real, either. Why?
When we asked my mom why she never had us believe in Santa when we were kids, her response was simple.
She said she didn’t want to lie to us. More importantly, she didn’t was us wondering why she lied to us once we found out where the presents really came from.
I can totally respect that.
Early on, my husband and I decided that we didn’t want to lie to our kids, either. They didn’t appreciate it so much.
What’s my point here? Whether or not your kids believe in Santa or not, the idea of him is something that I still hold on to even now as an adult.
There’s something so magical about the whole Christmas season… the spirit of giving, the abounding of love, the cookies.
Yes, I said cookies can you blame me?
Even if your kids don’t believe in Santa, writing a dear Santa letter to this magical, mystical man is a fun activity for kids and parents alike.
Our oldest son has two daughters, and they believe whole-heartedly. I created this simple dear santa letter printable especially for them, but I’m sharing it with you.
