These sweet and crispy cinnamon sugar pita slices are topped with mascarpone cheese and drizzled with honey!
Brunch is one of my favorite ways to celebrate. For one, it’s so much easier and less informal. Secondly, it means I get to have breakfast, lunch and dessert in one sitting.
This super easy recipe can be ready in as little as 10-15 minutes and requires just 5 ingredients, making it a perfect sweet treat for all your brunch guests.
While at the grocery store the other day, I sampled a cinnamon sugar pita chip, and instantly knew I had to add a deliciously creamy cheese and honey to it. I underestimated just how delicious it would be.
First, I took pre-made pita bread and cut into long slices.
Next, I arranged the slices on an un-greased cookie sheet.
After baking for about 5-10 minutes, I sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar.
All that was left to do was to let them cool, top them with mascarpone cheese, sprinkle with more cinnamon and sugar, and drizzle with honey.
They were just the right amount of creamy, sweet and crunchy; definitely not over powering.
