Have you ever noticed that as you get older your tastes change? I sure have. I like veggies I never used to, graduated from White Zinfandel to Cabernet, and would rather make my own bag than spend $100’s on a designer one.
I’ve also gained a love of champagne. The expensive kind.
When I was younger, I bought the cheap stuff. I mean, I didn’t really know anything about champagne, so I didn’t know how it should taste, much less which ones to buy. So, naturally, I went with the cheap stuff.
You know, the kind that only tastes good in a mimosa {don’t get me wrong, I love mimosas, but let’s face it, some champagne is just too good to be mixed with OJ!}
I’ve also learned that eating strawberries with your champagne can enhance the flavor of it. It’s true, I’ve tried it.
This got me thinking. If strawberries can make an expensive champagne better, what could they do for a less expensive one?
While I don’t always want to spend $50 on my favorite bottle, I do like to enjoy a glass every now and then, you know, just because. But, at the same time, I don’t always have strawberries on hand to enhance my experience.

These floats will knock your socks off! Mixed berry sherbet has pretty much the same effect as strawberries, and it’s a fun little treat, too.
