Urban Accents Santa Fe BBQ Dry Glaze gives these Carne Asada Tacos a sweet and zesty flavor the whole family will enjoy!
With my family’s combined love for grilling and Mexican food, it’s only natural that carne asada tacos would be on our dinner menu. The meat is tender and grills quickly, which I also love.
Carne asada is best when marinated, but sometimes it can be hard to find a pre-made marinade that really tastes good. When I’m in a hurry, which is usually the case during the school week, I don’t have the extra time to put one together.
Urban Accents has so many wonderful spice mixes, and I was excited to find that they have several dry glazes, too. Basically, it’s a blend of dry spices, that, when combined with oil, turns into a glaze. One packet is enough for 2-3 pounds of meat, so if you only need to use half the packet, no need to waste refrigerator space. I love that!
I used the Santa Fe BBQ Dry Glaze, which combines the flavors of honey and chipotle chili, but I couldn’t leave well enough alone. I added some orange flavor as well. Oh, so good.
Dinner was on the table in just under an hour, which is just about all the time I have between picking up kids from school and helping with homework.
Urban Accents has dozens of different seasoning combinations, and not just dry glazes. I’m super excited to try their Veggie Roasters next!
