Today is a special day at our house. Our daughter Carolyn, or #3, as I like to call her, is 18! It’s just so strange to think that eighteen years ago today this beautiful young woman was small and helpless. Reliant on me for everything.
She’s artistic, smart, funny, loving {when she was about seven or eight she couldn’t walk past you with out saying “I love you”}, and loyal to her friends. She’s determined, strong, knows what she wants and aims to get it.
She’ll be graduating in about five weeks and has plans to join the Army. She hasn’t officially, but it makes me proud just knowing she is willing to serve our country.
Rather than having a party, she requested we re-do her room. One of the things we did was take the popcorn off of the ceiling. We also painted a coupe of dressers, patched and painted the walls and had new flooring installed {one of these days I’ll post a photo of it!}
Since it’s such a special day, I still wanted to celebrate somehow, so I decided on a few things in the morning and a virtual party.
Great round-up. I would love one of those Dark Chocolate Cookie Cups right now.
