Escape to Historical Arizona Inn Tucson for a magical weekend getaway. Lush desert landscaping, historic architecture, and a stunning sparkling pool await you!
Recently, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. We were completely undecided as to what to do.
However, thanks to a poll on my Instagram stories, you all helped us decide on a mini staycation.
After brainstorming and online research of local hotels, we finally decided on the Arizona Inn.
Why We Chose Arizona Inn Tucson
- It’s a historic hotel resort on 14 acres
- It’s close to downtown Tucson restaurants and shopping
- The resort has a gorgeous pool
- The resort is a short drive from our home
When we first arrived, we were immediately greeted by the resort’s friendly staff.
At check-in, we discovered that they had given us an upgrade to our room, which was a pleasant surprise.
The resort also let us check-in early, which allowed us to get settled into our room before exploring the grounds.
Why We Love The Arizona Inn Tucson Guest Rooms
- Nightly turn-down service
- Complimentary bottled water- replenished daily
- Coffee makers and refrigerators
- Private Patio for Premium, Deluxe Rooms, and Deluxe Suites
- Wet Bar for some rooms
- Comfortable bed
- Fireplace in some deluxe rooms
Outside of our room was a gorgeous patio, perfect for morning coffee.
The sitting area in our room had a beautiful fireplace. Can you imagine curling up to a fire in the winter?
The king-sized bed in our room was surprisingly comfortable to sleep on.
The chic bathroom had a tray of complimentary toiletries above the normal shampoo and conditioner.
It included makeup remover towelettes and a shoe polishing cloth.
Why We Love The Arizona Inn Pool Area
- 60ft Heated Pool – open for swimming 6 am-midnight daily
- Plenty of lounge and table seating
- Poolside Dining where you can get cocktails and light fare
- Ice Cream Sundae Bar by The Pool – (April – October)

A sunbathers dream, the 60-foot pool is perfect for lounging by.
There are plenty of lounge chairs for everyone, both in and out of the sun.
The large sitting room just off of the pool is perfect for cooling off, reading or simply relaxing.
This is where you’ll also find a nightly complimentary ice cream sundae bar in the summer and afternoon tea in the winter.
Arizona Inn Tucson Dining Options
The food was fabulous. The resort has several dining options, including the Main Dining Room, the Audubon Bar & Patio, Poolside Dining, and Room Service.
What I loved best is that the same menu is available at both restaurants and via room service.
Poolside dining offers include cocktails, snacks and light meals.
For our anniversary dinner, we decided on the Audubon.
We were already enjoying the nightly piano entertainment and didn’t want to leave.
I had the Filet Mignon Oscar with Crab Claw Relish and my husband had the lamb T-Bone.
Both meals were amazingly delicious. I would recommend dining at either of the restaurants even if you aren’t a guest.
Why We Love The Arizona Inn Tucson
- Friendly staff
- Complimentary parking, including valet
- Complimentary coffee in the Library each morning
- Exercise Facility wit24-hour access
- Saunas

The property has gorgeous lush landscaping around both the guestrooms and the common areas of the property.
The inside of the main building was just as beautiful.
The library was simply stunning. My phone camera photos don’t do it justice.
The library has five welcoming sitting areas.
The built-in bookcases took up a huge corner of the room.
We had such a pleasant stay that I am already planning our next visit.
However, this time we will be spending more time relaxing by the pool.
Not only is the Arizona Inn a great place for a weekend getaway, it is also perfect for weddings and anniversary parties.
If you are headed to Tucson, it should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
